Reginald Noblaques, the BNP councillor for Haytefulle, in Lincolnshire, has today been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize by some of his supporters in the ward.
Noblaques swept to victory in the last local elections having sucessfully threatened his opposition, Mistral Patel, out of the race for the seat. He stormed in to his seat, dressed in a black suit, peaked cap and decorative black iron crosses, with a handsome majority of two.
Dick Stupid, the chairman of the awarding panel, summed up Mr Noblaques award:
"We felt that Mr Noblaques was a very deserving winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. We have proof that regularly, almost on a weekly basis in fact, the local Police have attempted to gain entry to his heavily guarded abode, Stalag 16, on Immigration Street in the south of the town where he lives with his pet alligator, Hanza.
"However, the police always have trouble in grabbing his attention or gaining entry through his cast-iron front door because he has no bell.
"It is for this reason we felt Mr Blaques was a worthy winner of the Nobel Prize."
