Klingons on the starboard bow!

The Spoof has obtained a press release from the British government responding to Dr. Edgar Mitchell's claims that we have been visited by aliens from other planets.

The document reads, "Mitchell is an astro-nut." We called the government offices to get more information, but we lost transmission when we attempted to make the calls.

The radio host Nick Margerrison could be reached for comment and he said, "wow, this is unbelievable. I mean, amazing. Shocking. Just wow!"

Dr. Mitchell says that an alien craft landed in Roswell, New Mexico and that he knows that there is life on other planets that is visiting us.

"For once I agree with the government. He is an astro-nut." said U.F.O. enthusiast Edward Tate. "Everyone knows that aliens don't exist. We just like making paper mache aliens and fooling unsuspecting web surfers. The fact is that aliens are a hoax perpetrated by U.F.O. enthusiasts like myself."

Dr. Mitchell has assured us that aliens are real and that he is willing to bring one on to Kerrang Radio to prove it.

"I broke into Area 51 to get this sucker so you'd better listen to the show," said the retired astronaut.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
