London - (Ass Mess): Police have uncovered half a tonne of stolen gold bullion from a safety deposit box belonging to Cherie Blair.
The ingots are part of the October 1983 Brinks-Mat heist which had deluded police into countless false recovery trails.
Mrs Blair had always denied involvement in the robbery despite being unable to explain an overnight rise to riches, the settlement of crippling gambling debts, bankruptcy orders and irate creditors' lawsuits.
Police say the ingots were found stuffed into six suitcases along with countless art treasures last seen adorning 10 Downing Street and the Prime Ministerial country retreat of Chequers.
Only one third of the deposit boxes and vaults have been prised open so far because of an earlier discovery of a nuclear warhead hard-wired into the concrete and tungsten flooring.
The device was located after Mrs Thatcher's wedding certificate to KBG/Mossad mobster Robert Maxwell RIP was discovered along with their daughter's birth documents, criminal records and Opus Dei numbered bank accounts.
