The carefully unkempt barnet of Cherie Blair is to be sold on Ebay.
The hair, said to fetching bids of a block of Edam Cheese, £2 and a paper-clip is being sold to raise funds for a leaving present for George Bush, Cherie and husband Tony's irritating former colleague, who just cannot accept that it is over.
Blair's Hair, which was said to cost the tax-payer upwards of £7,000 each time it was styled during the last general election is also said to be the central character in a new musical by Ben Elton and Brian May. It is to be called Hair Today (an update of the famous 60's hippie musical). No, there is no irony in it being co-written by Queen's Brian May. It is thought that his is the highest bid in at the moment.
Other political items for sale on Ebay are Gordon Brown's Frown, Alistair Darling's Darjeeling, and eyebrows, and a tin of Ronseal, that used to belong to Dennis Thatcher.
