All 100 pupils of a Scottish School were sent home on their last day of school for playing an end-of-term joke. The pupils had been drinking and were quite 'merry' and so decided to pull a stunt that would be forever enshrined in the history of the school.
They turfed over the floor of their common room. Headmistress of Banchory Academy Miss Lorna Mower, told In Seine News;
"I had to take the step after it was thought they were disrupting exams being held in the room next door. Most of them were high as kites and it was like a Celtic Rangers football match. Some were cheering others and what was most disturbing was the boys were swapping shirts with the girls. On the blackboard was written TEECHER IS A GRASS."
An unnamed pupil said;
"I think the whole affair was totally unfair - we were only trying to enhance our reputation as being eco-friendly by going green! We had only been drinking so that the grass would come up HALF-CUT. Hic!"
