London - (Ass Mess): The World Religious Council has issued a statement in London today noting the daft irony of Blair's exit from office on the christian feastday of Our Lady of Perpetual Sucker.
"Whoever advised Blair to name 27 June as his final farewell was either having a bit of a laugh or has inside knowledge of imminent disaster," the Council's PR told reporters.
"June 27 is historically the equivalent of Icarus's maiden flight or the Titanic's encounter with icebergs.
"We strongly advised against it but he wasn't having any of it.
"Serve him right if the cops decide to bust him on his last day at work.
"Always said the 27th is hexed."
