Today (EST)--Europa News-- The European Space Agency is calling for guinea pigs to take part in a trip to Mars.
"So far, we've only got one brown and white one with a dodgy hind leg," said Martin Batty, chief aeronautics engineer and PR pipe. "We may have to call for human volunteers."
Asked if it would be safe for humans to be "the first" to try a Mars shot, Mr Batty said, "Oh sure, safe as the Concorde."
When delicately questioned about the tragic Concorde burn and crash, Batty stated indignantly "Well, that was only the last one. All the others made it through all right."
