In a shock to the comedy establishment today, veteran comedian Bob Monkhouse has returned from the dead. He was initially spotted playing golf alongside Jimmy Tarbuck on Saturday, but journalists simply didn't believe the dead comedian had returned.
However, in a Randall and Hopkirk-like twist Jimmy revealed that Bob has been his constant companion for the last four years, since his death from prostrate cancer.
"He was invisible, but it looks like he has now materialised fully, white suit and all," commented Jimmy.
Bob revealed yesterday that because of the lack of great British comedians, many more are set to return from the dead over the next few months. He commented that comedians regularly die and then re-emerge to a new career."Look at Shane Ritchie-he's a master at it," he said.
Bob will join the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this Summer before embarking on a one man tour of Great Britian. "I'm unstoppable," he grinned," I've got all the time in the world."
