CCN (Crazy Cal News) - London - Today, Prime Minister Tony Blair selected the person who will give him away and his bridesmaid. At first, Peter Mandleson was selected to give Tony away, but when Prince Charles announced that he could make it, Mandleson graciously stepped down.
"I was brokenhearted when Prince Charles accepted, but it is Tony's wedding," said Mandleson.
Later, Prime Minister Blair gave Mandleson a surprise phone call and told Mandleson that he had been selected to be Blair's bridesmaid.
"I was overJOYED when Toni... uh, I mean Tony gave me the news. I'd just LOVE to be his bridesmaid. It's a great honor and I wouldn't miss Tony darling's wedding for ANYthing. Alas... always the bridesmaid and never the bride," Mandleson whined.
