Although it was announced a while ago, the BBC will not be filming any more episodes of Mock the Week, having decided that the tired format has had its day, and will rest for a while, until like Never Mind the Buzzcocks it is resurrected, to bring a sardonic twist to world events.
However, scientists have decided that even if that isn't to happen, the world already has enough repeats of Mock the World to keep Dave and other channels going for a good couple of centuries.
TV Expert Eunice said 'The beauty of television is the number of times a show can be repeated is unlimited, although people will always want new content. I mean it is great for Martin Clunes, and those bods who appear in everything, but we don't actually need any more television programmes to be made.'
Next Eunice will be telling us that the world doesn't need any more satire or light-hearted whimsy.
What would happen then? Would you still want to read us? Well, would you? Please say you would.
