Tractor Disaster

Funny story written by Backandtotheleft

Tragedy occurred in Lower Upper Middle Poppleton on Gastric By The Bypass as a parade to commemorate the 1956 tractor disaster ended in disaster. Back and to the Left news investigates......at the end of this sentence....from here....

In 1956 forty-two tractors plunged off a cliff and into a deep ravine after heavy fog descended on day nine of a seven month festival. The fog concealed the deadly drop and over four hundred people perished in fire, flame and falling tractor.

Yesterday more tragedy struck at the heart of this little community.
We spoke to John Timmerby head of the Lower Upper Middle Poppleton on Gastric By The Bypass Tractor Disaster Remembrance Committee who said:

It's a dark, dark day.

We pointed out that it was night time and maybe this had something to
do with it?

He said:

After so long you expect the wounds to heal but then another tractor disaster comes along and tears them open once more. My community feels raw, broken and ripped apart at the seams.

Kinda like we did after we lost our virginity. He carried on:

The tractors were going round their usual twelve mile circuit. One mile to represent two of the laws of the tractor. Then the lead one swerved violently to the right, like the driver was possessed by the sprit's of tractors past. He plunged straight over the same ravine edge. As if consumed by the futility of it all the others followed suit. Turning their tractors off the road of life and into the ravine of death!

Mike Boswell from Wrexham added:

I don't know why I'm here or why you're talking to me but I assure you this isn't what I voted Brexit for.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
