John Whippingdale, Government Minister for Art, Culture & Sport has decided he should become the next Govorner General of the BBC, which is to be rename Whips Wonderful Corporation (WWC).
In a move which is likely to upset some employees at the BBC Whippingdale has taken decisive action to end the hegemony of the BBC in the media world. Talking exclusively to our Cultural Reporter John Whistler Whippingdale explained that 'for too long we have been controlled by all-knowing individuals who think they know what is best for us. This is going to end when I take over.'
The 'Sun' has greeted the news with the highest praise. 'We now have this beast (the BBC) under firm control' they reported today 'we are confident that in future the WWC will give the people what they want'. the 'Daily Mail' was also pleased: 'This will put the BBC in its place' claimed an editorial 'we shall now have suitable programs suited to the taste of the nation.'
The WCC will be funded by the little known company Murdoch Brothers so the Licence fee will be scrapped. Advertising will be introduced to accommodate exciting new projects. The first of these will be 'A Study of Pain'.
