Archaeologists have uncovered the remains of a medieval "Beast Market", the equivalent of a modern day Farmer's Market beneath a demolished Satanic Mill in the Kirkgate area. The find is classed as 23b (mundane) in significance.
"This find will bring Huddersfield in line with such as Swansea in terms of crapness and cause a huge reduction in tourism", Baldrick Robinson, the town's chief publicity officer said this morning.
Luddites and sheep
"We are known for Luddites and sheep but nothing else has ever happened here. I think the town used to have a football club. It has a nice railway station where Michael Portillo goes a lot. The town is pretty significant in the "Gay Bondage" league apparently." an official said. "The town is not far from Barnsley and Castleford and quite near Leeds ", the town's cartologist pointed out.
