Accuracy of the Bible Queried by Bishop

The Bishop of Redruth has questioned the statements in the Bible that suggest the world began in 4004 BC or that Adam and Eve were the first on the scene.

In a sermon to the congregation at Redruth Cathedral, attended by three sailors and a dog, Bishop Christopher Truro made has amazing suggestion which shocked everyone present.

The dog, lovingly known as Bonzo, was later declared dead after jumping from the cliff into the sea near Falmouth. Cornwall has been in mourning since and many blame Bishop Truro for the dog's death.

Moves to defrock the Bishop are likely as he can no longer honestly contend that the Bible is his basis for life.

Cornwall's independence has been postponed until a new Bishop of Redruth can be found. Some believe it should be a woman and the Rev Olive Landsend is in the running.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
