Economist Samuel Snip has come up with the answer to the world's economic problems - print more money. 'The quantity will ease the situation and recessions will be a thing of the past' he claimed.
'Now when any country goes into deficit it can print money and deal with the problem.' Snip told me it is what he does when he can't pay bills.
'Some people think they have to borrow so they have the money to pay the bills but my approach does away with that. Just go into your shed at the bottom of the garden and print the money you need!'
I said I thought this was just too good to be true but Snip was adamant. He had been doing it for years.
Unfortunately there was a knock at the door at this point and someone who said they had a monopoly on printing money came in together with a bus load of police.
But Snip had his answer ready. 'How much do you want?' he queried.
'How good is your money?' the caller asked.
'It is a perfect copy' said Snip.
So the caller left with a large number of samples and the bus load of police had a few also so testing could be rigorous.
Snip had solved all our problems - easily!
