Carlos Tevez is to stay at Manchester City after all. A proposed swap deal with Inter Milan for Samuel Eto'o didn't work out.
The Argentine star has wanted to leave City for a long time despite leading the club to victory in the FA Cup final as captain and helping them secure Champions League football for next season.
Tevez said that he just feels that he doen't look good in the light blue kit of City and really fancies a change. He wants to transfer to a team which has a more colourful kit.
But - it now seems he is to remain at Eastlands after Inter Milan decided they did not want to part with striker Samuel Eto'o.
"Tevez will be with us a while longer" said manager Roberto Martinez.
"He HAS asked if we can at least have a more colourful 'Away' kit for next season and we have promised him we will look into it. It's a small price to pay for putting a smile on that (bleeping) face of his."
Tevez was not availble for comment.
