An ecstatic Sir Alex Ferguson hailed Wayne Rooney after the Scouser kept his cool to slot home the penalty that clinched the Premiership title for Man Utd.
Fergie couldn't praise the sometimes troubled striker enough after the 1-1 draw with Blackburn :
"I was a bit concerned when I saw Wayne stepping up to take the penalty.
Not that I wasn't sure he would put it away.
No, I was extremely worried that he would make an absolute tit of himself again after he scored and he'd go and get himself banned for a few more games.
Fortunately he kept his swearie words to himself.
The last thing we need is for the silly bugger to miss the first few games of next season".
