Saadi , son of under pressure Libyan leader Colonel Gaddafi, has spoken of his despair at events in his homeland.
Offspring of the Colonel and his second wife, Saadi is now head of the Libyan Football Federation after being the national team captain.
Speaking from his palace outside the Libyan capital Tripoli, Saadi expressed great regret at the unprecedented civil disorder that had befallen his country.
"I hope and pray that peace will once again return to our great nation. What is happening in our cities is extremely regretful and worrying.
When I first heard the noise outside, I was very surprised. When I looked out and saw the thousands of people in the streets, waving their hands, chanting their slogans, it took me back to Perugia in October 2003 when I was playing in Serie A.
Dundee FC fans were in town and, just like the demonstrators outside my palace just now, they too were expressing anti Arab sentiments.
What a small world we live in".
