European football saw one of its biggest shock results tonight as the mighty footballing nation of Lichtenstein were humiliated at the hands of the minnows from Scotland.
As expected the principality went ahead 1-0 early in the second half and were all set to end the amateurs from Scotland's hopes of qualifying in 2012, but an equalizer from Kenny McMiller and a late winner from Stephen McMcmanus gave the Scots possibly the greatest result in their entire history.
'Ah feel like Braveheart' said the jubilant McMcMcManus after the victory, 'when Mel Gibson defeated the English, although I dinnae think Rooney and Gerrard played in that game.'
A beaming Scottish manager Craig McLevein added 'I'm over the moon and I'm expecting a hero's welcome when we leave our hotel, The Travelodge in Govan, tomorrow morning. I hear Susan Boyle will be leading a rendition of 'Flower of Scotland' especially in our honour.'
'Either that or I'll be picking up my P45 and putting in a claim for Jobseeker's Allowance by lunchtime.'
