The solemn funeral of former World Champion snooker player Alex Higgins has taken place in his home city of Belfast, with thousands of mourners gathering to say a last "goodbye" to the star.
Past and present stars of the game, including Stephen Hendry, Ken Doherty and Joe Swail joined mourners in St Anne's Cathedral to remember his life, and to celebrate his best shots on a giant screen.
Hundreds more people dressed in brightly-coloured shirts and waistcoats, holding a beer in one hand, and a cube of chalk in the other, gathered outside the cathedral to pay their respects.
The Dean of Belfast, Houston McKelvey, who led the service, described Higgins as a person of prodigious talent at his chosen sport.
Addressing mourners, McKelvey said he had asked himself how best the city and sporting community should mark Alex Higgins' life. He said Higgins had been a drunk, and that, in Ireland, was enough to make him a saint.
He then started a video crammed with Higgins' best-remembered shots, and the 69 break he scored against Jimmy White at the Crucible in Sheffield in 1982. Afterwards, there was rapturous applause and more drinking.
The 61-year-old died last month after a long battle with throat cancer.
For those that would like to see it, here is that break again:
