Spike TV is branching out, and finding new and different ways to exploit children. The network's new show, "Half Pint Brawlers" features a bunch of second graders who wrestle each other. Children compete in a round-robin type tournament, and win age appropriate prizes.
Contestants compete for a grand prize of a year's supply of candy and bubble gum, as well as weekly prizes such as getting to stay up an hour after bedtime, and getting to watch The Backyardigans on the DVD player in the car.
A Spike TV spokesperson says: "I don't know how many times I have to explain this to you, but these are not children. The combatants on 'Half Pint Brawlers' are little persons, or people of short stature."
