Victoria Beckham left Old Trafford last night in an absolute rage after seeing husband David roundly booed by Manchester United fans when he came on as a substitute for Milan in his first match as an opponent since leaving Old Trafford for Real Madrid in 2003.
Victoria complained when David was booed and jeered that the main instigators weren't even proper United fans, but Norwich City fans wearing green and gold team favours, who had travelled to Manchester to watch United play Milan for some inexplicable reason.
A group of United fans approached Mrs Beckham to explain that the booing was just a joke and intended as a compliment following the standing ovation the player received from the crowd when he took to the field of play.
Mrs Beckham appeared to mouth something like: "Eff off you Norwich bastards!" but this has yet to be confirmed.
Beckham's Milan were given a proper mauling by a rampant United team spearheaded by Wayne Rooney, losing 4-0 on the night and 7-2 on aggregate, but the headlines were mainly taken up by loud and persistent calls for the Glazers to get out of Manchester United by militant fans.
"The Glazer out chanting was just a minority," a spokesman for the Glazers told us.
"Yeah mate - a f***ing big minority..." a passing United fan jeered.
More as we get it.
