In a controversial move, Fabio Capello has selected Barack Obama in his latest England squad. "He reminds me so much of David Beckham. Everyone asks 'How did he get there and how is he still there?' but Obama is a winner-even if everyone around him is a loser."
Obama now has his sights set on a world cup winners medal to go on his mantlepiece next to his Nobel peace prize. This would be the first such double to have been achieved since Nobby Stiles was recognised for his efforts in Cambodia.
Capello is still uncertain which position Obama should play in although sources close to the England camp suggest that it will be somewhere on the left. Obama has been known to play on the left, but could become isolated from the game.
The final XI for the must win clash with Buckie Thistle will be named on Monday. Hilary Clinton will give her exclusive opinion on the starting line up here.
