Following newspaper reports that Chelsea Skipper John Terry wants to talk to representatives from Manchester City with one eye on a very lucrative contract, our contact at City, Boner Sweetlove told us:
"It's all true. JT wants a chat with Sparky to see what's on offer, and Lamps has indicated that he too would be interested in a megabucks transfer deal."
JT and Lamps are good mates, and were spotted recently in a kebab shop on Oldham Road talking animatedly.
"JT had a doner with salad and chilli sauce with no onions," kebab shop owner Ali Bullo told us. "And Lamps had a chicken shish with garlic sauce and extra pickled chillies. I dunno if they come to City together or not. But they ask if we deliver as far as Cheshire. And both take flyer with menu and prices."
So far there has been zero speculation about Lampard leaving the blues but the speculation around this part of Manchester appears to suggest that Ali Bullo's kebab shop may well have been instrumental in swinging the deal.
More as we get it.
