A South-East Asian newspaper reports today that, as this year's Wimbledon Tennis Championships swung into action, an off-court drama is unfolding concerning a ballboy who, it claims, has been found to be 'overage'.

The Bangkok Post report says that the ball-boy involved, Ernest Borgfan, who lives in a changing room at SW19, is 53 years old, and has exceeded the age limits set by the All England club by some 38 years.

Mr Borgfan remembers watching his idol, Sweden's Mats Wilander, in his heyday at the championships in the 1980s. He knows all the top players personally - well, he's got their autographs - and has pictures of them on his wall. He said -

"I've been coming here for more than 40 years, and I just couldn't bear the thought of giving it all up. I just love haring after all the balls from the wayward shots, and scurrying across the court in front of all the world's TV cameras. Now I've got me walking stick, however, it's not as easy as it used to be!"

- before being led away by police.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
