Premiership new boys Burnley FC may be over the moon with their promotion courtesy of a Wade Elliot 13th minute Wembley belter but the dream is over for shirt sponsors Holland's Pies of nearby Baxenden, Lancashire.
Holland's three year sponsorship deal with the Clarets expires this summer, but the pie makers aren't bitter, despite the fact that their corporate logo will not be paraded around the Premiership next season.
"We're not at all upset," pie filler Les Kerrigan told us. "The company have been proud sponsors of Burnley FC for three years, and we feel we've done our bit. We could, but probably won't, spend some of the sponsorship money we save on improving our pie fillings. It's time to hand over the baton to Cooke's now."
Cooke's a local fuel provider are said to be very happy with their sponsorship of the Turf Moor club.
Holland's meat and potato pie served in a dish with mushy peas, a sprinkling of salt and lashings of malt vinegar has just been named Burnley's favourite pub grub dish for the fifty third consecutive year.
More vintage claret as we get it.
