Sir Alex Ferguson, a man not well known for under-reacting to situations, has launched a campaign to have referee Roberto Rosetti immediately sent to a Siberian salt mine for the rest of his life.

Following Manchester United's match against Arsenal, Ferguson launched an angry tirade against the referee, claiming that Darren Fletcher was targeted as Rosetti "obviously detests the Scottish".

The rumours of the referee's distain for the Scots have circulated for many years, and certainly this is another example to the list. Rossetti famously sent the entire Scottish team off during a qualifying match in 2003, following what the ref described as "a high tackle".

Ferguson, announced that he intends to storm UEFA HQ leading a number of his fellow countrymen to demand the retraction of the red card.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
