MANHATTAN, New York - The NBA which has seen a huge decline in fan attendance as well as an extreme decline in season ticket holders has announced that in order to generate more revenue it will be going from a best 4 out of 7 Finals format to a best 16 out of 28 format for the NBA Finals.
Stuart W. Tatsillo a spokesperson for the commissioner's office stated that the new format makes perfect sense, since it will definitely generate a much larger viewing audience plus the amount of revenue brought in from commercials will be staggering.
Tatsillo commented that he has talked to several corporations and he said that the people at Coca-Cola, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, and Midol are totally ecstatic.
When asked how he felt about the new Finals format Shaquile O'Neal mumbled, "I guess it'll be okay. I'm the best player playing.
I'm also not as sickeningly arrogant as I used to be. And I'm also not as staunchly sarcastic as I used to be, especially when I talk about that backstabbing %#$@*& Kobe Bryant."
When Shaq was told that the president of the United States Barack Obama was picking the Los Angeles Lakers to go all the way he replied, "I love the president, but I have to say that Brother Obama, or Brobama as he likes to be called, is way off base on this one."
In other news. It is being widely reported by ESPN, ABC, NBC, and XYZ that the Washington Nationals are considering on moving at the end of the current season. A reliable, but unnamed and undocumented source said that they will become the Nashville Nationals.
