Vikings to make a miraculous loss again this season.
MINNESOTA- The Minnesota Vikings, who made an impressive 5-0 start last season, has decided that they plan to make another failed attempt at the playoffs this year. At a memorable last game of the season, the Minnesota Vikings were playing at the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals, who had done horribly throughout the entire year, seemed that this game would be added to the "loss" column.
But this didn't happen.
The Vikings, who seemed to have the division clenched at this point, had only to beat the lowly Cardinals to obtain a playoff berth.
But, being a Minnesota team, the *ucked it up utterly.
On the last play of the game, the quarterback scrambled and threw the ball to Nathan Poole who grabbed it in the corner of the end zone. He was pushed out by Denard Walker, but the play would have been in bounds if not for Walker and was ruled a touchdown.
The play, which gave the Cardinals the win, gave the NFC North title to the Green Bay Packers, and gave a horrible taste in Minnesota's mouth.
This year, Minnesota hopes to make history with starting 6-0 and losing the North title.
"I think we should be able to suck it again this year," says Viking quarterback Daunte Culpepper. "I'm thinking we could keep everyone in suspense again this year until we go Detroit on December 19th, where I'll fumble 12 times for 8 turnovers... and maybe give the Lions their best game in history."
Coach Mike Tice agrees.
"When you can't win anything, it's nice to lose better than any other team, in any sport, in the history of sports."
So to all those Minnesota fans, prepare to be amazed! You're team will do well, than fail again, like every other year in their existence.
And to the Green Bay Packers: see you in the playoffs!
