Manchester Rovers are under investigation by the Soccerball Association, after they fielded a player with size 32 shoes.
The player, Ronaldo McDonaldo, is a professional clown and regularly uses his 50cm (20") shoes to entertain the public. But the use of such large implements during a football match has been called into question by the SA, who have called it "disgraceful" and "unfair".
Yesterday, Manchester Rovers beat London Herberts in a crucial cup match, and the winning goal was scored by McDonaldo using his clown-sized shoes. Most common taters have agreed that if McDonaldo had used normal-sized shoes then he would never have reached the goal, and that the Brazilian goalkeeper Hamburglar, who plays for London Herberts, would have stopped the shot.
The investigation continues. Meanwhile, Birmingham Chuffmunch have moved into first place in the cup league.
