A Prayer Meeting

Two members of Southampton football club, known as the Saints, have landed themselves in trouble. However bored spoof writers have been delighted with the news. It opens up opportunities to say things like 'Saints are devils', or 'Saints go marching....all the way to prison'.

In an otherwise quiet day for news two footballers for a rather useless outfit have provided a real boost to the spoofing industry. Sir Booby Robson, former England manager had mixed feelings. "Obviously I'm pleased for you spoofers. Good luck to you. But I do hate to see young lads in trouble. Kids without hope. I'd give them a worthers original each. That's the way you know."

We can hope that saints will continue to sin.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
