Party's Over For Liverpool.

Liverpool FC's Premiership challenge today became almost irreversibly derailed following a shambolic performance at the Riverside this afternoon as they crashed to ignominious defeat to hard working Middlesbrough.

Boro fan, Roy Orbison told us:

"It's over. They haven't got a snowflake in hell's chance of winning their 19th title now. They were reet crap the day. Gerrard is obviously not back to full fitness. They're just a joke really. I've heard that they're going to be sponsored by TheSpoof. com next season, which is appropriate when you think about it because they're a spoof football team, that's for sure."

It's been a volatile week for Liverpool.

After beating a lacklustre Real Madrid side at the Bernabeu, the club announced that chief executive Rick Parry would be out on his ear at the end of this season.

Rafter Benitez has yet to sign a new contract and is reportedly being courted by Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Havant & Waterlooville.

The cracks are now well and truly exposed and they are going down like a Bernard Manning joke at a BNP rally.

More as we get it.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
