Norris Ferguson, manager of non-league Snettisham Athletico, has sold his star defender Bert Ronaldo (43) for a record £148 to neighbouring Concreton Town. He has bought Arthur Bent (34) from Llandridnod Wells Sportivo for £175 plus 6 boxes of Walkers crisps from the snack bar.

Goalkeeper Heurelho Gomez, on loan from Spurs, has been found to be severely wanting and sent back to Mexico.

Snettisham and Concreton are no longer in talks to ground-share after demonstrations by the supporters. All 37 of them descended on Concreton's boardroom, while the two sides were meeting, to voice their noisy opposition.

Meanwhile, last Saturday's fundraising Dinner and Dance at Snettisham raised £132, which will be used to buy kit for the players.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
