A furious Rafael Benitez has lashed out against his own captain Steven Gerrard after the pair clashed earlier today.
As news filtered out that Gerrad will be out of action for three weeks with damaged hamstrings, the Liverpool boss lost his cool.
Former player David Fairclough, who was having his hair done at the nearby Mellswell Hair Salon saw and heard it all.
" Gerro came limping round the corner from the medical building and Rafa, Pelligrino and a couple of others, who were all smoking by the bike sheds were clearly waiting for him....Suddenly Rafa flicked his fag out in front of Gerrad and shouted 'oi where the cojones do you think you are going?" He grabbed hold of his captain and shoved him up by the fence...Rafa looked furious. He was wearing a black leather jacket, black T shirt, jeans and had his hair gelled back...." said Fairclough
'I've never seen him dress like that before." The former Liverpool star said. "The others then all ganged up as Rafa shouted at him.." If you think you are going to ruin my chance to win the league and Champs League you are seriously mistaken." He then told him to get back in that training room and make sure he is fit for Saturday or else "Alex may find she has a few fingers missing...know what I mean Gerro."
Fairclough says he was shocked by what he had heard.

Liverpool FC are disappointed by the news that Steven Gerrad is injured. The club feel the player and his hamstrings have let them down badly. Considering his age and his situation the club wants to act quickly and so will sell him as soon as possible.
