The NY Yankees had baseball's greatest heart and mind in manager Joe Torre. He brought them to more than a dozen post season appearances throughout his tenure as Yankee manager. Torre meant post season and often signified pennant and World Series and even some World Series Championships.
So when old man Steingrabber finally succumbed to the evil worm that had driven him and Yankee fans crazy for decades, the congenitally conjoined twins Hal and hank demonstrated that the evil worm was in fact genetic!
So the mad boys set out to dismantle the greatest stadium in sports history and the most successful sports franchise all at the same time. Poor Joe Girardi, never as good a player as Torre at catcher or at the plate and now clearly out of Torre's league in managerial expertise, became the dupe of the Steingrabber second generation of illness.
Goodbye Ruth's House, farewell Yankee post season, continue NY to suffer under the Steingrabber's thumbs and pity poor Girardi stumbling about in cletes he could not fill!
