The Los Angleles Angels of Anahiem, formerly known as the Anaheim Angels, Los Angeles Angels, California Angels, etc. released a press statement today saying that the beloved rally monkey of the team has been quarantined with rabies. It appears the popular primate caught the disease in an incident involving a raccoon, a skunk, and a squirrel.
The Angels team president refused to release any further details, but stated that the rally monkey will not be returning next year. "This is a sad day for all of us here in the Angels franchise." he said. He did open the possibily of another rally animal, possibly a Rally Rabbit. "I think that we need a rally creature, but having another monkey might bring back sad memories. Maybe a rabbit would work."
