US and A (ESPN) - After Barry Bonds referred to sports commentator Bob Costas as "a little midget man who doesn't know jack about baseball", Costas has upped the ante by giving Bonds the nickname 'The Juicer'. (Strangely, Mr. Bonds lacked a nickname -- until now.)
The original 'Juice', O. J. Simpson, will maintain that nickname despite his infamous recent past.
Costas added that other possible monikers include: 'Your-Mother-Wears-Combat-Boots Bonds', 'Roid Rage Barry' and 'The Human Home Run Experiment'. To be fair, Costas emphasized his admiration of Bonds' athletic career. But the shadow of performance enhancing drugs will forever taint his achievements.
When reached for additional comment, the left ventricle of Mr. Bonds' heart replied: "Help!"
