Manchester United ace, Cristiano Ronaldo has suffered a slight injury, which may set back his start to the new premiership season. The skilful winger known for his trademark step-over trick got himself into a tangle at training with his international team-mates yesterday.
Ronaldo (21) was too quick for even himself as he picked up the ball on the halfway line of the training ground and looked to take on FC Barcelona midfielder Deco. As Ronaldo skipped past his international team-mate and midway through his speedy step-over his legs became knotted in a frenzied mess, with his right leg wrapping completely around his left and looping Ronaldo's body into a tightening spaghetti-like, death trap!
Ronaldo hit the ground hard with his legs caught in a bowline knot. Deco explains, "It's an injury that happens to very few, but I have seen it before. Cristiano will bounce back."
Coach, Luiz Felipe Scolari added, "It's simply a case of bad luck, Ronaldo is just too quick for even himself! We have the best medics working on un-knotting his legs. I presume he will be training with the reserves next week."
