The United States Supreme Court ruled Thursday that the National Basketball Association, long dominated by very tall men, must begin to integrate men of lesser stature.
According to the high court, the NBA, in its current practice, is in violation of federal civil rights legislation. The court ordered the NBA to enact mandatory height specifications, i.e., teams must have an average height of six feet, one inch or less and no players over seven feet tall will be allowed to play.
