The baseball match between the Los Angeles Dodgems and the Boston Red Socks has ended, and was very, very interesting.
The two sides met in the third bout of a 7-bout series called the World Series. Boston had won the first two conflicts.
The Boston Red Socks are called the Boston Red Socks because part of their outfit comprises red socks. The playing staff even wear their red socks when they are not playing baseball, and a few even wear them in bed!
The Dodgems acquired their name from the fairground attraction of the same name. Many residents of Los Angeles routinely drive around the city's streets in dodgems, in tribute to their team.
The fans were so excited when one man threw the ball at another man, but the second man avoided being struck by using a wooden stick to bat it away! It went a long way! To celebrate, he ran around a funny sort-of 'fan' shape, with pointed bits, and the game was over!
The fans cheered emphatically.
