In the latest of many cricket related thefts Jimmy Anderson has taken his 500th test wicket. A cackling Anderson addressed waiting reporters from top of the stands at Lords. Like some sort of cricket phantom of the opera.
"You'll never catch me"
He shouted moments before security surrounded and beat him to the ground.
Ex-England Captain Michael Vaughn weighed in on the argument despite no-one asking him to.
"It was the same with England captaincy. I took it from Atherton. Strauss stole it from me and in turn Cook robbed it from him. It's a never ending, deep rooted culture of neo theft and intellectual lies"
The phenomenon has being going on all over the cricketing world with various players being accused of "taking catches", "taking wickets" and the ever popular "going for a duck". Which of course is cricket slang for "going down the pond and stealing a bunch of water based birds".
Geoffrey Boycott added:
"It's all gone a bit silly point if you ask me"
We hadn't and what was Geoffrey doing in our garage?
