German football coach Joachim Low was fired from his position as manager of the German national side at the World Cup today.

The German papers had already been clamouring for his head after making the nation of Germany suffer the humiliation of letting in a single goal in their "lazy" 7-1 victory over Brazil last night.

"How dare Joachim sullen the good name of German football with a mediocre 7 goal victory against Brazil" said Munich journalist Simon Helgafat "we all expected at least 20 goals against Brazil and the team could barely get 7 goals - disgraceful".

Fans gathered around in town squares in Berlin, Frankfurt and Hamburg, but many of them were reduced to tears after the team failed to live up to expectations, only scrapping through against the hosts. Riot police even had to break out scuffles caused by desolate German fans.

"This is not good enough" screamed one high-maintenance fan.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
