LOS ANGELES - Former Los Angeles Lakers great Shaquille O'Neal has been hinting that he would like to purchase the Los Angeles Lakers.
O'Neal who played for the Lakers from 1996 to 2004 recently told Rufus Reno with Sports Balls Illustrated Daily that he definitely has enough money to buy the purple and gold team.
He even noted that the number one Lakers fan Jack Nicholson has encouraged him knowing that he (JN) would get one heck of a discount on his season's tickets (as if Nicholson really needed it).
Reno asked Shaq what he would do to try and get the team back on the winning road.
He grinned that patented O'Neal grin and replied that the first thing he would do is he would ship Senor Ball Hog AKA Kobe Bryant to the last place Milwaukee Bucks.
O'Neal said that it was nothing personal but added that he just cannot stand the little gumby-looking diva who thinks that he has to shoot 90 percent of all Laker shots.
SIDENOTE: When Kobe Bryant heard that Shaq may want to purchase the Lakers he smiled and remarked that he's already been told by the Lakers owners that he (KB) gets first crack at purchasing the team.
