LOS ANGELES - There is no joy in LaLaLand home of the once proud Los Angeles Lakers as the boys in purple and gold have fallen to 22-44 for the worst record in the entire NBA Western Conference.
Rufus Reno with Sports Balls Illustrated Daily wrote that everywhere one looks one sees nothing but sad, sullen Lakers fans looking towards the Hollywood sign for a sign.
Well as Reno wrote, the sign is that the Lakers are finished for the season and as they say down in Fort Worth "Emily May, put a fork in it hon, the brisket's done."
The word on Rodeo Drive is that Jack Nicholson, who is the biggest Laker fan in history, is seriously thinking about hiring noted attorney Ginger Allred and suing the Lakers organization for misrepresenting themselves as an NBA team.
And now word from the Lakers office is that the team is desperate to get a super star player.
An insider with the team said that the owners have offered to trade Pau Gasol, the entire Laker Girls cheerleaders, and $20 million to the Oklahoma City Thunder in return for the great Kevin Durant.
Story Update: No word yet on a reply from the Thunder front office.
