NEW ORLEANS - After hearing about Phil Robertson of the top rated cable show Duck Dynasty getting suspended, New Orleans Saints quarterback Luke McCown (#7) a graduate of Louisiana Tech felt that there was something that he had to do.
He talked it over with teammate Isa Abdul-Quddus (#43) and the two decided that it would be fitting and proper to dedicate the rest of the Saint's regular season to Phil Robertson.
McCown said that he had met Robertson once out in the parking lot of a Burger Mistress Bar & Grill in Lake Charles.
He said that he was amazed at how much Phil resembled ZZ Top lead guitarist Billy Gibbons.
McCown and Abdul-Quddus had a talk with the Saints management who agreed to their idea and added that they'll have 30,000 baseball caps made with Phil Robertson's likeness and the words Ducks & Saints - No Place But Louisiana.
