An assassination attempt on the Prime Minister's life was at first suspected this afternoon as he was sitting in the Grandstand at Wimbledon's Centre Court watching today's men's singles tennis final taking place there.
Police bodyguards rushed to protect the Prime Minister after what was thought to have been a green coloured drone missile flew across Wimbledon's Centre Court towards the Prime Minister only narrowly missing his head. It was not until a few minutes later when London Mayor Boris Johnson, who had been sitting in a seat of a row immediately behind the Prime Minister, pointed to a green tennis ball jammed in his mouth that it was realised the suspected 'green missile drone' had actually only been a badly sliced tennis ball Andy Murray had unleashed from his tennis racket early on during the second set of today's match.
Although Mr Johnson is believed to have lost a couple of teeth during the incident at Wimbledon today the ball was fortunately still intact after a burly police officer managed to tug it out from Mr Johnson's mouth and was then thrown back to a ball boy on the orders of the Prime Minister.
