Andy Murray was today sensationally awarded the Mens Single title at Wimbledon after an amazing turn of events that saw Roger Federer fail to turn up for the Final after being arrested in the middle of the night.
An anonymous caller to the Metropolitan Police with a deep scottish accent claimed that Federer had brought 'an excess amount of counterfeit Toblerone' into Britain and was also a potential illegal immigrant who might be looking for asylum in the country because 'Switzerland is so damn boring and neutral'.
Police took the six time Wimbledon champ into custody and were looking into potential charges. Speaking to Sue Barker on Centre Court Murray said "Obviously I would like to have won fair and square on the court, but I'm still over the moon to be crowned champion, and I'm sure the police will release Rodge' if they can't pin anything on him".
Murray was the first British man to reach a Wimbledon final for 74 years. Apart from the Trophy and the prize money, the real reward for Murray is a dance and a kiss with womens champion Serena Williams at the Wimbledon Closing Ceremony Ball.
