Wayne Rooney has told friends he is 'confused' by England boss Roy Hodgson comparing him to Brazilian footballing legend Pele.
The Man United striker returned from suspension to score the winner v Ukraine on Tuesday, but told friends before the match he didn't understand the interview Hodgson gave to the media when he suggested 'Rooney can be our Pele'.
"Pele is black, from Brazil and uses viagra to get it on with old ladies" Rooney told a close friend at the weekend. "I'm white, from England and have no problem getting an erection when sleeping with grannies" he explained.
Pele played 92 times in total for Brazil and is still the record scorer with 77 goals. He is also the only player to have three World Cup winning medals - from 1958, 1962 and 1970.
England's next match is the quarter-final v Italy on Sunday in Kiev.
