In demand Blackburn defender Chris Samba, who handed in a transfer request yesterday, is expected to sign for four London clubs in the next few days. The unique transfer deal will see the current Blackburn captain sign contracts with London rivals Tottenham, QPR, Arsenal and Chelsea.
Samba was a target for Arsenal and Chelsea in the summer transfer window but no deal was forthcoming, in January when the window re-opened QPR and spurs joined the hunt, and now Samba stands to become the first footballer to join more than one club concurrently.
Groundbreaking deal
It is thought his agent, Mr G.Bastard negotiated the incredible groundbreaking deal, which will see Samba job share by playing for Arsenal in the first week of the month, Tottenham in the second week, QPR in the third week and Chelsea in the fourth. He will not be eligible to play against another of his teams. It is not clear how he will pay his tax and national insurance.
Blackburn boss Steve Kean said "he's not keen to stay"
The short term deal will expire in six months, giving FIFA a chance to consider whether they will allow this type of deal to become 'the norm'
