Top UK scientist Professor Hugh Jarse revealed this week that the UK wide ban on smoking inside buildings had caused an abundance of cloud formations.
"A six month study of the skies above the city of London offices has shown 20% more cloud coverage since the ban began" said professor Jarse.
"It might explain the bloody miserable summer we've just had" said one city worker busy puffing away on a pipe.
The met office has long been involved in the research and have released the following statement;"All smokers should only inhale if they want better weather or, better still, go to Dover and breath out towards France."
The Council of the Order of the Unified Guild of Habitual Smokers (COUGHS) said today "Our members are fed up with being blamed for so many problems however we fully support the France thing."
Hundreds of members of COUGHS staged a demonstration event at Dover today.
